Dedicated Lan Solutions were engaged by Solahart Eastern Ranges to help improve the end user functionality of their existing Office 365 deployment.
A review of the existing deployment identified a number of areas for improvement including greater access to files for remote users, enhanced security for a range of devices, centralised access to data for admin staff and enhanced backup solution.
Firstly their Office 365 tenant was migrated from a 3rd party implementation of Office 365 to Microsoft’s Office 365 back end.
A 4 Tb Synology Network Attached Storage unit was deployed in their office to provide centralised high speed access to all data as the site only has access to ADSL internet, this also provided full synchronised replication to Office 365’s OneDrive to provide access anywhere for all staff.
Enhanced Office 365 security was deployed to all devices with two factor authentication for all users and with all data (Email, Teams, Sharepoint and OneDrive) being backed up using Skykick.
The project has enabled both office and field staff to access all relevant data in a more secure and flexible environment.
